What Size Of Photos Should I Send?
We accept all sizes of photos. If you are emailing your photos they can be snapshot size of 3 x 5 all the way up to 9 x 12. Any size of mailed photo is fine.
If you are emailing your photos please be sure that your photos are not too big. Please be sure that emailed photos are not larger than 300 x 400 pixels.

I Don't Live in Lagos; Can I Still Register?
Absolutely! We work with aspiring models from all Nigerian cities as well from other countries. We regularly advice models, who are located out of Lagos, and do not find an easy access to visit Lagos for all auditions and meetings. The best solution in this situation is to make your show reel (VCD/DVD), apart from your portfolio, the show reel should depict your looks, acting, dancing skills, voice, different get up etc., it should not be lengthy maximum for 3 – 5 minutes duration. It would help us to represent you even without your presence over here.
 
Do You Accept Photos Of Children?
Yes, we accept photo submissions of children of all ages from infants to teens.

Do You Accept Photos Of Male, Female, Character, Overseas and International Models?
Yes, we accept photo submissions of young and mature male, female, mature, teens, and International models of all ages.

Do You Promote Overseas models:
Yes, we promote the Oversea models who are located in other countries, as we use to get inquires from the overseas agencies who are looking for models located in their countries.

Do I Need To Have Modeling Experience?
Not necessarily, you do not have to have modeling experience to submit your photos to FI Models.

What different types of membership are there?
There are 4 types of Membership: - Standard, Gold, Platinum, and Premium.

Why Is There A Fee To APPLY
We have worked out bare minimum fee to register with us. The fee helps to cover the costs of operating our website such as web designers, hosting, advertising, office staff, etc. This fee is much less than you would pay for making copies of all your photos and mailing them to all of the agencies and is much less than many online scouting services who charge hefty amount per year, just to upload your pictures on their website to attract more viewers, their casting jobs are extremely rare.
Moreover, paying fee for registration shows that the candidate is really serious and genuine for his/her career into the modeling world, even it helps to streamline the quality of the models too. FI Models is the most efficient and cost-effective way to promote your career into the Modeling industry

What Other Expenses Will I Have?
There are no other costs involved when applying to FI models, but there will be a non refundable fee of #2,000 naira when applying.

Do You Guarantee That I will Be Offered a Modeling Contract?
FI Models will provide you with exposure in our website and portal and invited agencies and all existing clients and will do the coordination for you as an agent for those modeling inquires which suits to your profile and talent. Ultimately your looks and performance will make the client to select you for their assignment.
FI Models doesn't guarantee that you will be offered a contract. Contracts are offered at the discretion of each agency based on how much potential they feel you possess.

Can I still become a model if I am in School/College; Have Spare Time during Vacations and Holidays.
Reputable agencies will always make school a priority. There are two reasons for this:
A) Most aspiring models are of school age and agencies are accustomed to working around your school schedule, especially teen age and kids modeling. Shoots are normally fixed up on public holidays/ Saturday and Sundays.
B) A model’s career, no matter how successful is extremely short and unpredictable, making it more important to have a solid educational base from which to draw on once the modeling career is over.

How do I get modeling assignments? And Whats is Your Commission?
Once you have made a portfolio and registered with you will be entitled to get calls of those inquires which suits to your profile, availability and performance skills. How it works, please note:
1. First of the client use to give us the brief by phone calls, emails about the assignments, budget, age group and characteristic of the models and ask us to suggested the pictures and names of the models, so we shortlist the models first and suggest to the clients. Thereafter the client reverts with short listed models for meeting or a audition.
2. If any client is new, we check out their creditability in the market before we take up casting job for them.
3. Any of casting requirement which suits to your profile, our casting team will suggest your name, bio data and pictures to the client. If you are short listed by the client, we will inform you the clients address, contact details to go and meet with them.
4. At the other end, some clients send us the brief of the assignment and ask us to send directly the models for audition and meetings.
5. After audition or meeting if you are selected for the assignment, we will negotiate the final fee, shoot date, location and will inform to the model to report at the time of shoot. Our representative is always at the time of auditions and possibly at the time of shoot.
6. Once the shoot has taken place, the client will make the payment as per mutual condition between us. And the models payment will be made with 3- 4 days from the date we receive the modeling fee from the client after deducting our commission of 30% from the gross modeling fee.
7. Some time the clients wish to make payment by cheque/cash to the models, in that case we trust on our models as they will make the payment of our 30% commission to us, once the given cheque is credited in their account.
8. In case of any legal aspect, or making any exclusive contract between models and advertisers, we will shoulder the responsibility for mutual convenience and interest.
9. In case of any outstation shoot, we settle down everything clear with the client about travel, stay and safety aspect for you.

What to do, if assignment is rejected after the shoot?
Some time the models are chosen by their pictures, not by a personal meeting or audition, especially for press and still shot. By the way, on the spot of the shoot, the client doesn’t find the models as per his/her pictures, you will be dropped for that assignments and the client will not make any payment in this case. So always keep your updated pictures in your portfolio. If any noticeable changes have come up in your appearance like skin appearance, age, hair cut, weight any other change, you should be prompt and honest to inform to the agency.
Very rarely, but it happens some time, the shoot had been done and you have given your 100% for the assignments. Unfortunately, due to some technical issue or any other reason the whole assignments is wasted due to whatsoever reason and will be scrapped ( not will be used for any commercial/professional purpose). The client is liable to pay 50% of the fixed assignment fee to the models as he/she had given the required time, efforts and their performance.

How do I apply?
The only way to apply is Online.  When Applying Online if you'd like to add pictures they must be available in jpg format and they must be resized and optimized correctly so as to show your face clearly.

Do you offer advice on becoming a Model?
Our service is not to advise models or give advice as to whether a particular person is suitable for modelling.
Our service is to provide a platform for models and clients to meet in a cost effective efficient way.

What clients have you had?
We have worked with different firms ranging from Advert agencies, Event Planner, Fashion Designers and Corporate Bodies.

Is there a height, dress size or age restriction?
No. Our clients are varied and flexible. This means that we can be more flexible about the type of Models we accept.  We accept applicants of all ages from children upto seniour citizens.

Where are you based?
FI Models is operated by FASHION INSTINCT ENTERPRISES and it’s based in Lagos the Commercial City of Nigeria.

Can I arrange a consultation or speak with one of your advisors?
Generally no, because 99% of all queries can be answered on the website or by email, if you have a question which isn't answered on the website or thru email, please call our support request via our hotline.

Can I find out who the client is?
We leave it upto the client to decide whether they would like to give out their contact details.

Will there always be an audition/interview?
It depends on the client and the nature of the role. It is not uncommon for a applicant to be chosen purely on her picture.

If I can't make an audition can the date be rearranged?
In general audition dates are set to suit the client and can't be rearranged.
Smaller clients will sometimes set audition/assignment dates around the applicants.

How will I know if i'm successful?
If you are chosen for an audition / interview we will inform you either by email or by phone.

Will you let me know if i'm Unsuccessful?
Of course as soon as the client choose you, we will alert you by email or phone.
